2. Scope and relationship with Paddle
These Terms apply to wezoplayer.com and WezoPlayer-operated online services. Installation and use of the desktop software are additionally governed by the EULA. Paid checkout transactions are conducted by Paddle as Merchant of Record / authorised reseller and are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy.
By using the website or related services, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
3. Eligibility and account information
You must have legal capacity to enter into the relevant agreement or act with any consent required by law. Information you provide for purchase, activation or support must be accurate and must not be used to impersonate another person or obtain an entitlement fraudulently.
4. Purchases, price and Paddle
WezoPlayer Pro is currently offered as a one-time license for USD $9.99 before any tax or currency conversion shown at checkout, for activation on up to three PCs subject to the EULA. It is not a subscription.
Paddle sells the product to the buyer as Merchant of Record / authorised reseller. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, receipts/invoices, fraud checks, chargebacks and transaction-level buyer support. The checkout displays the final amount before purchase. WezoPlayer remains the software licensor and product-support provider.
After purchase, WezoPlayer may receive transaction and entitlement data necessary to issue, validate or support a Pro license.
5. Refunds, cancellation and mandatory rights
Refund requests for Paddle-processed purchases should be submitted through Paddle buyer support. Paddle's current Refund Policy and Buyer Terms apply to the transaction, together with any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
Digital-content and software withdrawal rights vary by location. Where the law permits a withdrawal right to end after immediate digital supply begins, the required consent and acknowledgement are handled through the applicable checkout flow. See our Payments & Refunds page.
6. Software license and activation
Your right to install and use WezoPlayer is governed by the EULA. A Pro entitlement may require online activation and may be associated with device identifiers to enforce the permitted activation count. A refunded, reversed, fraudulent or invalid transaction may result in Pro functionality being disabled, subject to applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use WezoPlayer websites, APIs, licensing systems or software to violate applicable law or third-party rights; circumvent or forge license entitlements; attack, probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to systems; distribute malware or abusive automated traffic; misrepresent your relationship with WezoPlayer or third parties; or use third-party metadata, images or subtitles contrary to applicable rights or provider terms. These restrictions do not limit rights granted by mandatory law or an applicable open-source license.
8. Your media and third-party rights
WezoPlayer is a tool for playing and organising media. You are responsible for ensuring that your possession, playback, transcription, subtitle creation, translation, copying and distribution of media or derived content are lawful. WezoPlayer does not grant rights in movies, television programmes, subtitles, artwork, metadata or other third-party content.
9. AI subtitle features
Pro may provide local speech recognition and machine translation. AI output can contain errors, omissions, mistranslations or inappropriate wording and is not guaranteed accurate. You are responsible for reviewing output and for ensuring that transcription or translation is lawful for the media you process. Local AI processing may consume substantial CPU/GPU, memory and storage resources.
10. Third-party services and content
WezoPlayer may interoperate with Paddle, Cloudflare, TMDB, OpenSubtitles, SubDL and other service or model providers. Third-party availability, APIs, terms, pricing and content can change independently of WezoPlayer. Your interaction with those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
11. Availability, updates and changes
We may update, replace or discontinue online features where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, provider changes, legal compliance or product development. A one-time Pro license does not guarantee that every external API, online service, operating-system version or future major product version will remain available indefinitely. The meaning of “lifetime” is defined in the EULA.
12. Privacy
Personal-data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Local playback and local AI processing are designed to stay on your computer unless you deliberately use an online feature or send information to support.
13. Intellectual property
WezoPlayer's proprietary code, branding, website content and original materials are owned by or licensed to the Supplier. Third-party trademarks, software, models and content remain the property of their respective owners. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses, which prevail for those components.
14. Warranty and limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WezoPlayer services and software are provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, perfect compatibility, error-free subtitle results or continued availability of third-party services. Where legally permitted, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or loss caused solely by unavailable third-party services. For a paid license, any monetary cap applies only where lawful and will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant Pro license unless mandatory law requires a different remedy.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using WezoPlayer at any time. We may suspend online access or revoke an entitlement obtained through fraud, forged credentials, chargeback abuse or material breach, subject to mandatory law and any applicable dispute process. Open-source rights are not terminated by proprietary-license enforcement where the applicable open-source license provides otherwise.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by , without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes are submitted to .
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or product reasons. The current version is identified by the date at the top. A website-terms update does not retroactively remove a perpetual software license already validly granted, except where termination is permitted under the EULA or applicable law.
