1. Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and , trading as WezoPlayer ("Licensor", "we", "us"), for the WezoPlayer desktop software, supplied updates and related proprietary materials (collectively, the "Software"). By installing or using the Software, you accept this EULA to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. License grant
2.1 Free edition
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, except where mandatory law permits transfer, to install and use the Free edition on compatible Windows computers for lawful personal or business use, subject to this EULA.
2.2 Pro edition
After a valid Pro purchase and activation, we grant the license holder a personal, limited, non-exclusive license to use Pro functionality on up to three concurrently authorised PCs associated with that license, subject to the activation system and this EULA.
2.3 Copies
You may make reasonable backup copies for your own licensed use. You may not distribute proprietary WezoPlayer binaries as a commercial substitute, bundled product or public mirror without permission, except for components whose open-source licenses independently permit redistribution.
3. Pro activation, devices and entitlement
A Pro license may require online activation. The service may process an entitlement identifier and device-related activation information to enforce the three-PC limit and prevent abuse. Replacing hardware or reinstalling Windows may require deactivation/reactivation or support assistance.
You may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense or intentionally share a single-user Pro entitlement with unrelated users unless mandatory law grants a transfer right. A refund, chargeback, fraudulent transaction, reversed transaction or invalid entitlement may result in Pro functionality being deactivated, subject to applicable law.
4. Meaning of “lifetime license”
The Pro license is a perpetual license to use the version of WezoPlayer licensed to you and updates we choose to provide under the same entitlement. “Lifetime” is a licensing term; it does not promise that WezoPlayer will operate a company, host servers, maintain third-party APIs, support all future Windows versions, provide updates or keep every online feature available for the lifetime of the user. Your validly granted right to use compatible licensed software does not expire merely because time passes.
5. Restrictions; interoperability and open-source rights
For proprietary portions of WezoPlayer, you may not copy beyond permitted backup use, modify, distribute, rent, lease, sublicense, remove proprietary notices, circumvent entitlement controls or reverse engineer except to the extent applicable law expressly permits the activity or an applicable open-source license grants the right. Open-source license terms prevail over inconsistent terms in this EULA for the relevant component.
6. Your media, subtitles and content
The Software does not grant you rights in third-party movies, series, audio, subtitles, artwork or metadata. You are responsible for having lawful access to media you play and for complying with applicable rights when creating, translating, copying or distributing subtitles or derived content. WezoPlayer does not claim ownership of your local media or subtitle files merely because the Software processes them.
7. AI subtitle features
Pro may include local speech-recognition and machine-translation components. Generated subtitles may contain errors, omissions, mistranslations, offensive wording or context mistakes and must not be treated as guaranteed accurate. You are responsible for reviewing output and determining whether transcription or translation is lawful for your media. Local AI processing can consume substantial CPU/GPU, memory, disk space, power and cooling resources.
8. Third-party and open-source software
The Software may include or invoke third-party components such as FFmpeg, whisper.cpp, OpenAI Whisper components/models, CTranslate2, SentencePiece and an M2M100-family multilingual translation model, depending on the exact release. Those components are governed by their own licenses. Where an open-source license grants rights broader than this EULA, that license controls for the relevant component. Required notices and source/build information are provided with the distribution and/or on the Third-Party Licenses page.
9. Updates, online services and technical changes
We may provide patches, compatibility updates, metadata changes, model updates or new versions. Some online features may require a supported version. We may change or discontinue an online integration if a provider changes its API, legal terms or availability. Unless required by law or explicitly promised at purchase, a one-time license does not guarantee every future major version or feature.
10. Ownership
WezoPlayer and its proprietary code, interfaces, branding and original materials are owned by or licensed to . The license granted here does not transfer ownership. Third-party trademarks and content belong to their respective owners.
11. Privacy
Use of online features, activation and support may involve processing personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Local playback files and local AI processing are designed to remain on your computer unless you deliberately use an online feature or share information with support.
12. Warranty and statutory rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not guarantee compatibility with every media format, subtitle source, AI result, graphics driver, codec or third-party service. Mandatory statutory guarantees, conformity rights and other non-excludable consumer protections remain in force.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in this EULA excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business or loss caused solely by unavailable third-party services. Maintain backups of important media, subtitle and library data. Where a monetary cap is legally permitted for a paid license, our aggregate liability arising from that license will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant Pro license unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
14. Termination
This EULA remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate by uninstalling the Software and ceasing use. We may terminate or deactivate a license for material breach, fraud, forged entitlement or abuse of activation systems, subject to mandatory law. Termination does not cancel rights granted independently under open-source licenses.
15. Governing law and disputes
This EULA is governed by , without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes are submitted to .
16. General
If part of this EULA is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. This EULA, applicable purchase terms and incorporated open-source notices form the agreement concerning the Software. If translations are published, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
